What Does this MRI Scan Result Mean?

Hi, my lumbar motion X-ray report reveals grade 2 anterolisthesis (6.8mm/20%) Also, the MRI reveals slight anterolisthesis of L5 with degenerative Disc disease at L5. Would surgery be needed for this if pain was contained?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Thanks for writing to HealthCareMagic, I am Dr Muhammd Ahmad, I have closely read your question and I understand your concerns, I will hereby guide you regarding your health related problem.

It means vertebra have slipped over each other. at first meds are used along with life style changes physiotherapy and abdominal band. If that doesnt help then surgery is opted for. In debilitating disorders surgery is usually done sooner.

I hope this answered your question, if you have more feel free to ask, otherwise close the discussion and rate it.

Regards.

Dr.Muhammad Ahmad.
